Do I have to be a member in order to use the chat room?
No. The club was made for members, but it is open to anyone who is a member of Deviantart.

Is the chat room private or public?
The chat room is private, which means it's only available by request to members or guests. Contact the Founder and ask them to put you on the V.I.P. list.

Why is the chat room private?
Public chat rooms opened to anyone can be a problem, because then anyone can enter the chat room. The dialogue in public chat rooms on Deviantart can be highly inappropriate, because they're not monitored by anyone or they can't be monitored 24/7 by an administrator of the club. Some chat rooms are run by bullies too. We'd like to protect our members from verbal harassment or abuse, so we made the chat room private. Meaning, you can only access it by request.

Why can't I get into the chat room?
Because you haven't requested access to use the chat room. Since the chat room is private you need to send a note to an administrator asking to have access to the chat room. You will then be put on a V.I.P. list that will allow you to utilize the chat room.

Will my conversation in the chat room be saved somewhere?
NO. Your conversations are not saved and are only accessible to whoever is in the chat room at the time of your conversation. This is a "private" chat room. As soon as the chat room is empty the conversation will then entirely disappear unless you or someone else has copy and pasted the conversation into a word program and saved it.

When are chat room conversations saved?
The only conversations saved are when an "official club meeting" is taking place to discuss matters about the club, usually pertaining to the club comic collaboration.

I can access the chat room. What does this mean?
It means you are already added to the V.I.P. list as a "member" or "guest."

How do I know if I'm a member or guest?
It should say in the chat room window, but if you're not sure. Contact an administrator with your question.

I'm a member of the club. Does that make me a member of the chat room?
Yes. ALL "official" club members are considered members of the chat room automatically. HOWEVER, you must send me a note asking to be added to the "member's" chat room list in order to access the chat room.

How do I know if I'm an "official" member of the club?
If you're an "official" member of the club it means that you have joined the club either by accepting a join invitation or by clicking on the "join" icon on the main page. Official members will have their username listed under the member's list on the main page.

I'm a member. Can I invite a friend who isn't a member into the chat room?
Yes. Anyone who isn't a member can send a Founder a note requesting access to use the chat room and they will add them to the chat room's "guest" list.

What does it mean being a "member" of the chat room?
It means, you have full access to the chat room. You have the ability to kick or promote guests to the member's list.

What does it mean being a "guest" of the chat room?
Being a guest means you are free to chat as much as anyone else in the chat room, but if a member is in the chat room and considers your dialogue inappropriate they can kick you from the chat room. A guest can only become a member when they are promoted to the chat room's "member's" list by a member, an administrator, or an operator.

How do I know if I'm a "member" or "guest" of the chat room?
You will be able to enter the chat room if you are a member or guest.

If I use the chat room does the conversation have to be strictly related to "Final Fantasy VII?"
NO. You can chat about whatever you like, so long as it is not extremely inappropriate. I encourage members and guests to chat about the arts, but the room is made for members and guests to get to know each other.

What is considered an "inappropriate" conversation?
Let's just say I'd like to keep the rating PG-13. The chat room was not made for inappropriate behavior. Since the chat room is open to all ages, please be considerate of this fact and keep the dialogue family friendly.

Why was this club chat room made?
It was made for the convenience of club members and watchers. Some of you may not know other Deviantart users very well and may like to get to know them better and would prefer to not have to go through a system outside of Deviantart in order to chat. The chat room is also for you to talk with your Deviantart friends, members, and watchers more easily.

What do I do if I have a question about the chat room?
